WHAT IS YIT?

YOUTH INTERVENTION TRANSPORT

MISSION STATEMENT

YIT is an organization that transport struggling youth from their homes to treatment programs and schools across the US. YIT is an organization that is dedicated to serving youth and their families in times of need.

YIT standards is to raise awareness and understanding of the profound potential of each youth we transport and believe in the goodness contained within them that they are loved by family and they can do better.

YIT believe that Safety, Trust, Experience not only can safely transport your child to their destination, but also with the combine efforts of YIT agents and parents we can start the conversation of transforming your child towards the vision of positive change.

YIT’s vision is that, embracing the principles of love by practicing acceptances that everyone make mistakes and believe that they can change. Love them, embrace them, treat them with fairness, respect them, support them, they will thank you someday.

PLAN AHEAD & HAVE A BACK UP PLAN
  1. Will my teen likely to be receptive or resist the idea of residential treatment program ?
  2. What are the chances of my teen fleeing if I tell he/she?
  3. Would my teen be more receptive to the idea if I have YIT transport he/she?
  4. Can I as a parent handled the emotions of being tough love?

The majority of the staff at YIT are parents, and we know how emotionally distressing this is for you. It is truly one of the most difficult “Tough Love” decisions that parents will ever be faced with. We hope to give you the reassurance that you need, and we want you to know when you decide to place your child in our care that they will be treated with dignity, courtesy and respect, and will arrive at their destination safely.

IT IS TRULY ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT “TOUGH LOVE”
DECISIONS THAT PARENTS WILL EVER BE FACED WITH

When a child is hurting, there is the tendency to lash out at those they know. Teens are much less likely to act out with someone they are less familiar with, particularly a person that they see as a professional. Our experience has been that as professional transport service we get much better cooperation from the airlines and law enforcement officials than if it is a parent who is having problems with the teen.
